- The Deputy Manager is intrinsic to the success of the Home through effective delivery of providing support to the Home Manager in ensuring all resident and staffing needs are met.
- Responsible for supporting the Home Manager to embed a safe and welcoming environment for residents, their families, employees and visitors.
- Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership to support the Home Manager ensure staffing requirements and needs are met in line with Trust, CQC and Local Authority standards.
- Provide support to the Home Manager and employees towards the home being rated ‘Good’ or above by CQC.
- Relevant and demonstrable work experience in a nursing / residential care setting.
- Good working knowledge of CQC regulations and of relevant legislation, including knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Health & Social Care Act 2008, Care Act - Protection of Vulnerable Adults and Mental Capacity Act.
- Ideally have minimum of 12 / 18 months experience of managing staff within nursing / residential care setting.
- Can demonstrate excellent leadership and effective communication skills
- To be an active and encouraging Manager, establish and maintain effective means of communication and good relationships with residents, relatives, employees in the home.
