- Minimum of two years’ experience at Deputy, Senior, or Team Leader level within a Children’s Residential Setting
- Ideally hold QCF Level 4, Children and Young People, be working toward its completion or willing to commence study.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring a positive, person-centred, homely environment.
- Supporting the Manager in the operational management of available resources to ensure an uninterrupted service, including stepping in on occasion to supervise shifts, when the needs of the home demand
- Participation in an out-of-hours ‘On-Call’ Rota alongside the Manager
- Maintaining high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation, and the activities of key workers are planned, provided for, and applied in accordance with the Home’s procedures and strategies.
- Promoting team development and effective teamwork
- Maximising the effectiveness of staff through motivation, development, and mentoring
- Leading by example in setting high standards and evaluating outcomes
- Taking a proactive role in driving improvements in the quality of services provided
- To ensure compliance with all regulations and standards applicable to the management of Children’s Residential Settings in Wales
- Managing financial budgets, control systems, and administrative records in line with organisational procedures and expectations
