McCulla has over 300 employees working across our Transport, Warehousing, Customs and Green Bioenergy Operations. Our modern fleet of over 120 vehicles and 200 trailers operates a just-in-time service with environmental sustainability at the forefront of everything we do - making us unique in the market for our customers.The RoleWe are seeking a driven and experienced Warehouse & Coldstore Manager to take ownership of daily operations in our fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Reporting directly to the Head of Warehousing, this is a hands-on leadership role where you will have the autonomy to shape how the warehouse and coldstore operates.You will lead a large team, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and compliance, while driving efficiencies across the site. People LeadershipLead, motivate and support the warehouse team to achieve shift and site targets.Create a positive work environment with strong employee engagement.Delegate tasks effectively and resolve issues swiftly.Conduct regular performance reviews, manage attendance, and handle disciplinary issues.Ensure all employees receive appropriate training and development.2. Operations ManagementTake full responsibility for day-to-day warehouse and coldstore operations.Proactively manage labour to meet customer demand and capacity needs.Manage stock, inventory, and order processes to company standards.Deliver excellent customer service through efficient and accurate warehouse operations.Liaise with contractors to manage plant, site facilities, and repairs.3. Compliance, Safety & StandardsEnsure operations comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.Lead on health & safety initiatives, risk assessments, and incident investigations.Ensure readiness for audits and compliance with BRC and other standards.4. Performance & Continuous ImprovementMonitor and manage performance linked to KPIs, ensuring activity is recorded and measured.Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Support the adoption of technology and innovative solutions to optimise operations.Champion sustainability initiatives within the warehouse and coldstore.RequirementsPrevious experience within a food or temperature-controlled warehouse.Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team of 10+ employees.Proven experience in using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).Strong leadership skills with experience in achieving targets in a fast-paced environment.Customer-focused approach with strong communication skills.Flexible and hands-on approach to warehouse operations.Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.Knowledge of Health & Safety and BRC requirements.LEAN / Six Sigma experience (desirable)Terms & BenefitsMonday - Friday, Full Time Role.Day Shift Hours, with a flexible approach.Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 depending on experience.Additional Annual Leave (Service Based).Matched employee / employer pension contribution (5%).Life & Death in Service Insurance.Certified Training Courses.Career progression opportunities.Additional Company Benefits.About the companyWith over 50 years' experience, McCulla Ireland is a Haulage, Customs, Warehousing, Distribution and Power Company with Operating Centres in Northern Ireland (Lisburn and Mallusk) and the Republic of Ireland.   • Previous experience within a food or temperature-controlled warehouse.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team of 10+ employees.
  • Proven experience in using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in achieving targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
