2025-08-27Full TimePermanentHGV Class 2 Driver, Removals.Salary: £35,000 pa + Overtime £35 allowance for Nights out.Location: Reading, RG30.Are you a hard-working individual with a "can-do" attitude, who can successfully work as part of a team?Responsibilities:
The job involves Removals, domestic and commercial premises packing & loading of the vehicles. Previous experience within the removals, or associated industries, industry is desirable but not essential as hands on training will be provided. Smart appearance, prompt and polite manner is essential.Requirements:
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Valid UK driving license with category C entitlement is essential, with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Experience in home removals industry preferred but not essential.
  • Valid, upto date driver CPC and tachograph card is required.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Essentials for this role:
  • Physically fit as 90% of time on the job is spent carrying furniture, loading and unloading vehicles, this is a very physically demanding job.
  • There is no set start and finish times, start times generally between 6.30-8.30am but vary. Finish times also vary every day depending on job size and unload times.
  • Hours will be between Mon - Sat, therefore some Saturday work will be required but not every Saturday. We do not work Sundays.
Pay:
  • Salary will be negotiable dependant on experience within the removal industry.
  • As well as your salary, many customers do provide tips to our teams which can be a significant additional amount.
