Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching AssistantLocation: BirkenheadAre you passionate about making a difference?Are you passionate about helping children learn and grow?We have an immediate opportunity for an SEN Classroom Support Assistant in Birkenhead, Wirral!We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide support to children and young people with special educational needs at a wonderful specialist school.Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer personalised support to students in one-on-one or small group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Help students manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Prepare learning materials and equipment.
  • Assist with student's personal care as needed.
  • Support daily classroom tasks and educational activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to acquire one).
  • Proven experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Two current professional references.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviours.
  • A calm, caring, and empathetic approach.
  • A strong and resilient character.
  • Excellent reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills.
