Medical Needs Teaching Assistant - Everton

• Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
• Hours: Full-time
• Start Date: October 2025

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with medical needs, including personal care and medical procedures where required.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning resources to meet the pupil’s specific needs.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to facilitate engaging lessons and ensure the pupil is fully included in classroom activities.
• Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress, health, and wellbeing, maintaining clear communication with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes independence, confidence, and personal growth.

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 role or with pupils requiring medical support.
• Relevant qualifications in education, health care, or child development (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Knowledge of specific medical conditions and appropriate strategies for support would be an advantage.
