With its Outstanding Ofsted rating, the school offers excellent opportunities for joyful and engaging learning experiences.About the Role:As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide small group and one-to-one support, and confidently cover classes when required.Your Responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons.
- Leading small group interventions and one-to-one support sessions.
- Covering classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring learning continues effectively.
- Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a supportive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum.
- Working collaboratively with staff and parents to support student development.
- HLTA or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging learning activities independently.
- Previous experience in a school setting as an HLTA is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
