£35,000 - £50,000We are partnering with an established interior design studio based in South West London, who are seeking a talented designer to support their high-end residential projects in the UK while also gaining exposure to international work in the USA. The studio delivers projects from concept through to installation, with a strong commitment to design excellence and client satisfaction.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative team working across both residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, a straight-talking, highly respected leader in the industry, supporting the delivery of design concepts, managing project implementation, and co-leading a prestigious large-scale residence in one of London’s most renowned squares.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, well-presented, and confident in handling the nuances of high-net-worth clients. Strong project management skills are essential, along with excellent client-facing abilities. You should be enthusiastic, creative, and comfortable balancing independent responsibility with close team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities
- Creating and editing plans, elevations using AutoCAD
- Creating Mood boards using InDesign and develop presentations
- Fabric sourcing, ordering samples and finishes for projects
- Creating workroom schedules and cost plans in Excel format
- Support the design team with administration, planning and design
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and building team
- FF&E sourcing, specification, procurement, and installation
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Prepare detailed drawing packages
- Prepare concept designs and presentations for review by senior designer
- Collect samples, chase suppliers for updates and administration follow up
- Update cost plans, mood boards and schedules
- Confirm meetings with suppliers and clients
- Site minutes following meetings
- Update project management lead times
- Experience required AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel
- Knowledge of Estimac is preferable, however not essential as training will be provided
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written and visual
- Attention to detail
- High standard of both verbal and written English
- Ability to work within a small team
- Able to proactively manage workload and project timelines for the studio
