- Contribute to the delivery of the Museum's curatorial vision through actively engaging with programming discussions and the curation of exhibitions; utilising contacts with designers and organisations; and applying knowledge of issues in contemporary design and culture.
- Develop the curatorial argument for designated projects by researching and selecting works, and through liaising with designers and external curators.
- Draw up briefs for designers to procurement stage in consultation with the Gallery Manager and Director of Programme.
- Issue appropriate contracts to partner organisations, designers, curators and authors in consultation with the Director of Programme
- Work closely with the Audiences and Media Department at V&A Dundee and External Relations at University of Dundee to ensure the exhibitions programme and information about collections, initiatives and key visitors is effectively communicated and promoted.
- Supply information for inclusion in reports, sponsorship proposals, press releases, etc.
- Liaise with colleagues across V&A Dundee and University of Dundee to ensure effective internal communication.
- Liaise with the post's University of Dundee line manager and academics at University of Dundee to assist in identifying teaching, placement, research, public engagement and any other opportunities related to V&A Dundee.
- Create opportunities for students and academics to engage with collections and designers linked to exhibitions at V&A Dundee and deliver lectures/ workshops related to the exhibitions.
- Work collaboratively with the University of Dundee on the realisation of projects at V&A Dundee.
