So, when it comes to your life outside of work, ask us about our flexible and remote working policies designed to help you get the most out of life.”We are looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Central Rail Systems Alliance team delivering multi-million-pound Rail Core and Enhancement projects and programmes based either in the Eastern or Northwest & Central Regions.Your purpose:
  • You will use your experience as a Railway Civil Design Engineer to support and lead designs as Checker or CRE.
  • You will be responsible for Price and Programme for your design scope.
  • Working closely with Construction and Assurance, you will form strong relationships and use these to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • You will support the development of junior members of the team.
  • You will be responsible for producing high quality deliverables including, calculations, forms and drawings.
  • You will use your multi-disciplinary experience to provide coordinated and constructable designs.
  • Support tendering of new projects.
What you can bring:
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary design and experience of construction.
  • Experience of ancillary civil engineering supporting track renewals.
  • Multi-disciplinary design experience.
  • Mentorship of junior team members.
  • IEng / CEng (or working towards) with a relevant professional body.
  • Working towards CRE (desirable).
  • Project Engineer experience (desirable).
