
Management Accountant

- Oversee and execute revenue recognition with a keen focus on accrued and deferred income.
- Handle the preparation and processing of accruals and prepayments with precision.
- Review and uphold intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Take charge of maintaining the general ledger and compile all monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Generate all necessary regulatory reports, including VAT returns, Intrastat, and EC sales lists.
- Create month-end financial statements for review with the Group Director of Finance and the FP&A team.
- Provide insightful month-end reports on the AR ledger and highlight top accounts.
- Assist in the production of precise monthly P&L statements and commentary on any variances from the budget or forecast.
- Engage in cash flow forecasting, ensuring transparency regarding fund availability as required.
- Support the company audit process effectively.
- Collaborate with the Group Director of Finance to design processes and controls, ensuring high accuracy in qualitative information that aids in achieving financial and business objectives.
- Provide both routine and project-based support to the Group Director of Finance.
- Conduct monthly accounting for projects and services.
- Identify and assess P&L risks and opportunities.
- Continuously enhance your skills, knowledge, and behaviours to maintain an up-to-date understanding of general financial practices and specific industry insights.
- Step in to cover other finance areas as necessary.
- Previous experience in a month-end focused role, either in an assisting or full ownership capacity
- VAT experience in different European Countries and multi-currency experience
- Nearly qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA student/part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Project / cost accounting experience
- Previous experience of using financial software packages, ideally SAP Business By Design
- Strong IT skills, intermediate level Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident and reliable personality
- This position calls for a strong sense of initiative, teamwork, autonomy and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy independently
