This leading (Top 30) global law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its expanding Consumer & Retail Financial Services Regulatory team in London.The firm is recognised for its strong, integrated legal and business services offering, with a reputation for delivering commercially focused regulatory advice to major financial institutions and consumer-facing businesses. The Role This role sits within a well-established Financial Services Regulatory (FSR) team, providing both contentious (non-litigious) and non-contentious advice to clients in the consumer and retail financial markets. You'll be advising on regulatory strategy, structuring transactions, engaging with the FCA, and supporting clients through supervisory investigations and interventions. The successful candidate will work on a range of complex, high-value matters and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on regulatory aspects of corporate transactions and restructures, including client transfers and notifications to the FCAProvide strategic guidance on supervisory issues and FCA interventionsHandle a mix of contentious (non-litigious) and non-contentious mattersDeliver accurate, technically sound and commercially relevant legal adviceMaintain a strong understanding of consumer financial regulation and market developmentsSupervise and support junior lawyers, providing technical leadership and mentoringAssist in business development and client relationship initiativesAbout YouQualified solicitor with 4+ PQEStrong experience in financial services regulation, ideally with a focus on the consumer/retail sectorProven ability to handle complex matters across both advisory and regulatory engagement contextsExperience managing and developing junior fee earnersThis is an opportunity to join a progressive, international firm with a supportive culture and a real commitment to inclusion and development.
