- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across various age and ability levels, following the school's curriculum and national standards.
- Use innovative teaching strategies and resources to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore mathematical concepts, ask questions, and collaborate with their peers.
- Assess student progress and understanding through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their academic growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, providing additional support or extension opportunities as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum, incorporating best practices and educational research.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behaviour, adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive relationships and fostering a sense of community within the school.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent knowledge of mathematical concepts and techniques, along with the ability to communicate them effectively to students.
- Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to inspiring curiosity and confidence in students' mathematical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
