Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekAbout the Role:We're looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter/Mechanic to join our team based in Cheam. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of grounds maintenance equipment. Your work will be essential in keeping our machinery running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for our operations.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical maintenance who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a more relaxed and supportive environment-away from the fast-paced pressure of a commercial garage.Key Responsibilities:Carry out routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on a variety of grounds maintenance machinery and equipmentEnsure all equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in line with company standardsWork independently and as part of a team to manage maintenance schedules and urgent repairsKeep accurate maintenance records and report any recurring issuesWhat We're Looking For:Strong mechanical skills with a solid understanding of machinery and vehicle systemsExperience in maintaining and servicing grounds maintenance equipment is highly desirableExcellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilitiesA proactive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFull UK driving license is essentialIdeal Candidate:We're especially interested in hearing from candidates with prior experience in a grounds maintenance environment or those familiar with related equipment and vehicles.
