We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Plant Fitter to join our busy construction team. Based primarily at our Dromore Yard, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of heavy plant and machinery-from concrete saws to crawler cranes. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Occasional travel to sites across the UK & Ireland will also be required.Job Description
Key duties include:
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a wide range of construction plant and equipment
  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Conduct hydraulic, transmission, and electrical system repairs
  • Read and interpret fault codes using diagnostic tools
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Ensure all plant is safe, compliant, and operational for site use
  • Communicate effectively with the Plant Manager and Site Managers regarding equipment status
  • Support Health & Safety compliance and participate in mandatory training

Essential
  • Solid experience of heavy plant and machinery maintenance and servicing
  • Proven competency in hydraulics, transmissions, electrical wiring, and diagnostics
  • NVQ Level 2 & Level 3 in Plant Maintenance
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (including trailer test)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Health & Safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Strong team-working abilities
Desirable
  • Experience in the Building and Civil Engineering industry
  • Valid HGV Licence
  • CSR Gold Card (training can be provided)
  • Possess a valid Forklift Operator Certificate
  • Familiarity with modern plant electrics and telematics systems
