You’ll be working with our banner companies, European sourcing offices and shipping service providers to manage the timely handling of goods for the groups various banner companies.What's the job?:
  • Supporting the management of the group’s commercial short sea shipping, road haulage and freight consolidation contracts with service providers.
  • Providing reports to communicate Kingfisher banner requirements to service providers (e.g. forecasts, shipping arrangements, performance targets) to enable them to implement their operations effectively.
  • Responsibility for overseeing the activities of our service providers and managing these relationships to ensure service levels are in line with Kingfishers expectations.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholder groups, dealing promptly to resolve operational, service and contractual issues as they arise and providing clear direction for resolution.
  • Monitoring and analysing the performance of service providers in all aspects of the logistics process through regular review meetings (e.g. KPI Reporting).
  • Supporting the European freight tender process providing insight of our banner requirements, shipping locations, volumes and seasonal trends.
  • Analysing and presenting large sets of sensitive commercial data with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy.
What you'll bring:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (core requirement).
  • An academic qualification in Logistics or Supply chain management or experience working in a European logistics or freight role in a 3pl / Carrier/haulier or within the logistics team of a major retailer.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage competing timelines whilst still maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to manipulate, analyse and present complex data sets.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
