If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.Senior Engineer - Infrastructure - LeistonLocation - Leiston, SuffolkPurpose of the role:As a Senior Engineer based on our brand new £124m+ major highways project in Leiston, Suffolk as part of the Sizewell C development, you will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team. You will work alongside other the wider engineering team to oversee various packages including structures, earthworks and roadworks.What you will be doing:
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination.
- Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
- Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required.
- Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.
- Work safely and proficiently interpret data and drawings.
- Advanced setting out skills, including Level, EDM, and GPS knowledge.
- Relevant civil engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation).
- Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.
- NVQ Level 3 or higher, SMSTS, CSCS card, and expertise in Office 365/CAD
