Job Title: Pre-sales Specialist (Networking/Telephony/IT)Salary: Competitive packageLocation: Exeter (South West / South Region)Established in 2003, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading independent providers of essential business technology.We are looking for an experienced Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to join our established UK team, providing technical solutions to new and existing customers on Networking, IT (local, cloud & hybrid) and Telephony (on-premises, private & publicly hosted) solutions.You will provide technical assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical teams about capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on proposal activities.RequirementsEssential Skills:
  • From a relevant technical background, ideally within an MSP environment such as third line support, project management or technical delivery.
  • Strong foundation across varying technologies in Networking, Communications and IT.
  • Experience in designing networking solutions (including WAN, LAN, wLAN technologies) and Unified Communications solutions (including hosted UC, Contact Centre, Peripherals)
  • Experience in IT solutions and services would advantageous
  • Experience with the following vendors would be advantageous: Microsoft 365 and Teams, Gamma Horizon and Wildix, LG Cloud, Meraki, SonicWall
  • Experience in a customer-facing, technical sales role
  • The ability to evaluate and understand a customer’s business needs/objectives and design a solution to meet those needs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • A desire to understand relevant new technologies as they come to market and a keen interest in the continued development of your technical skill set.
  • Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Full drivers licence and willingness to travel through sales territory.
  • Experience in producing high quality commercial proposals including design, solution overview and pricing.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of networking and unified communications products in the SME and Enterprise market
