An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project manager to join the ROW IPT within the Weapons Carriage & Release area. With a growth in current gen and future gen platforms this role will offer a vast array of projects and an opportunity to own a portfolio. This role reports to the IPT Senior Programme Manager and will liaise with customers and stakeholders across the business to deliver defined projects across development, production and aftermarket areas, for complex Aerospace sub systems. 1. Ownership of a portfolio of projects relating to the sustainment and continuous improvement of in production and in-service aerospace products currently supplied to multiple user aircraft. 2. Responsible for applying best practice project management techniques to ensure delivery to time & cost for allocated projects of an agreed scope. 3. Act as the primary project management PoC for several of the IPTs major customers. 4. Provide customer and internal summary reporting to a defined cadence, present and interpret information from multiple 'Business as Usual' sources as well as project data. 5. Work closely with production Delivery managers, Programme manager and other stakeholders to identify and manage risk to customer production delivery in the medium term (6-24-month window) 6. Support the production SIOP process for capacity planning on a 2-year window. 7. Facilitate resolution of escalated issues from Operations, Customer Account and Procurement stakeholders through controlled planning and execution of new projects or work packages. 8. Support identification of new opportunities to improve customer service or experience; this includes working with bid managers & processes where additional customer funding may be available. 9. Support Programme and Engineering managers to draw individual projects or work packages into efficient work streams, considering for example shared dependencies or synergy. 10. Ownership of costed and resource loaded schedules for allocated projects; working closely with PMO planners to ensure the schedules remain realistic and support overall programme aims. 11. Degree plus ideally 5 years experience of managing projects through full lifecycles Able to take corporate or 'global' view and deal with senior stakeholders Experience of managing multiple projects comprising similar functions and technology, with proven delivery track record An ability to coach junior project managers and increase their efficiency and effectiveness Commercially and contractually aware Track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships Strong knowledge of the functional disciplines and supply chain that require management Leadership & communication - clear direction, guidance and motivation to team Priority & workload management - goal orientation balancing task, team and individual Problem solving skills - able to deal with ambiguities, uncertainties & conflicts Risk management - mitigate risks, identify opportunities to increase revenue/margin Customer orientation and interface Project performance management - KPIs, metrics Willingness to develop Qualified to deliver large and complex programmes Extensive knowledge of MS Office - particularly MS Project The successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR controlled technology, goods, and information.
