  • The Business Development sit within the Commercial Division and are engaged in a variety of disciplines including new business/lead generation, client profiling and targeting, pitching, client relationship management and new business referrals.
  • The successful candidate will join a friendly, close-knit team and work collaboratively alongside the Senior Data Analyst, playing a fundamental role in supporting the team’s ability to provide exceptional service to the wider business.
Role Purpose and OverviewThis is a specialist analyst role, in which you will take ownership of the quantitative analysis behind the client discovery project, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all data outputs. The role demands a mix of technical data skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to present findings in a way that engages senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Discovery
  • Collate, validate and analyse data relating to six core project areas:
  • 5-year financial review (revenue, margin, performance metrics, growth drivers)
  • 5-year client review (client base, integration levels, company types)
  • How we win work (appointment methods, win rates, contracted assignments)
  • UK capabilities (services, structure, sectors, geographic reach, competitors)
  • Expertise (market position, track record, market share, client feedback, trends)
  • “Sweet spot” definition (where capabilities and expertise meet)
  • Identify trends, correlations and opportunities within datasets, highlighting integration potential and growth areas.
Reporting & Insight Delivery
  • Develop and maintain clear, visually engaging reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI) to communicate findings.
  • Present analytical outputs in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to the creation of strategic recommendations based on data insights.
Data Quality & Governance
  • Work with multiple business systems (CRM, finance, marketing, research) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement quality checks to maintain the reliability of datasets throughout the client discovery process.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager to align data outputs with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Liaise with teams across the UK Commercial and Residential divisions to gather and interpret required data.
  • Support leadership in understanding the implications of findings and in decision-making discussions.
What experience you will needTechnical & Analytical Skills
  • Proven experience in analysing complex, multi-source datasets to produce actionable business insights.
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, power query) and experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar database querying skills essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience or understanding of a commercial / residential property environment would be preferable, but not essential.
Business & Communication Skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights.
  • Experience in presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Collaborative approach to working with different business units.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
