- You’ll report directly to the Head of Risk and contribute to shaping regulatory-facing outputs and Board-level insights.
- Contribute to the second line assessment and oversight of capital adequacy and safeguarding, ensuring policies are implemented, risk-informed and regulatory-aligned.
- Deliver enterprise-wide stress testing exercises and refresh of wind-down plan aligned to regulatory expectations and industry practice.
- Enhance enterprise risk management through robust risk identification, control design, risk analytics, and scenario testing.
- Build scalable tools and reporting mechanisms to monitor key risk metrics and regulatory thresholds. Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams with structured, data-driven insights.
- Analyse financial and operational risk exposures and evaluate adequacy of capital and safeguarding controls to ensure prudential requirements are met.
- Develop automated tools and models (preferably using excel/Python) to monitor and report risk metrics and support stress testing planning and execution activities.
- Support regulatory submissions and internal risk governance processes with high-quality analytics and reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory advisors on matters of prudential and operational risk.
- Draft and maintain risk policies, Board papers, and regulatory documentation that reflect evolving regulatory expectations.
- A undergraduate degree or higher in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or a related field. Strong experience in financial services, preferably with exposure to payments, fintech, banking, and/or consulting environments. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Safeguarding, EMR, Basel, IFRS, RRPs.
- Proven experience in completing ICAAPs/ILAAPs, stress testing, wind-down planning, including quantification techniques of capital charges across credit, operational, and market risk.
- Experience working in a second line risk function or treasury team with solid knowledge of financial, liquidity, operational and/or credit risk. Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modelling, or automation, with an ability to translate insights into action.
- Experience in project and programme management, designing and executing plans to ensure delivery on time and quality, and escalating risk and issues appropriately. Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and communication skills.
