Rhino Recruitment are hiring qualified Mechanical Technicians to join the team of one of the leading sustainable manufacturing companies in the UK.Mechanical Technicians will be required to maximise the department machines' output and maintain full manufacturing process within designed specification; Whilst working with other team members to continuously improve manufacturing performance.We are looking for technicians with experience working with;
  • Knowledge of high speed and/or food processing production
  • Machine setting
  • Fault finding and problem solving
  • Plc, pneumatic's, robotics - desirable
  • Adaptable and able to connect with others
  • Team orientated/ collaborative
  • Able to operate & take decisions independently/ enjoys autonomy
  • Self-assured/ credible
  • Flexible
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of engineering and operational support to a manufacturing area
  • Machine setting, to achieve product specification and performance
  • Maintenance of automated inspection systems
  • Fault finding and corrective action
  • Machine inspection
  • Responding to minor breakdowns
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Major breakdowns
  • To achieve compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, Food Safety requirements, Legislative requirements, GMP and company policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of sub-assembly
Qualifications:A formal qualification in appropriate subject ONC/HNC, BTEC/City and Guilds in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline/apprenticeship.A base salary of £34,600 per year, plus a 15% shift allowance for completing a 3 shift rota pattern. Shifts will include days, afternoons and nights.Employees have the opportunity to progress; Advanced: £36,230 per year / Expert: £37,852 per year.Company Benefits:
