CMA HR is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a highly respected services organisation for the recruitment of a hands-on Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for operational excellence, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring payroll runs smoothly while driving improvements and efficiencies.What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing the end-to-end payroll process for around 600 monthly-paid employees
  • Leading, supporting, and developing a small payroll team (currently 1 direct report)
  • Overseeing compliance with HMRC, pensions, NI, and all statutory requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement and automation within payroll processes and systems
  • Acting as the go-to contact for both internal stakeholders and external auditors
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager (or Senior Payroll Specialist) in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, Tax, NI, and pensions
  • Confident with payroll/HRIS systems (experience with iTrent, ADP, Sage, or similar would be ideal)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to stay organised under pressure
  • A confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach
