GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join schools in Sheffield immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers looking to make a positive impact and deliver high-quality English education across Key Stages.As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, fostering a love for literature and effective communication.Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
  • Deliver creative and curriculum-aligned English lessons across Key Stages.
  • Encourage students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills through literature and language study.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the English department’s success.
Requirements for English Teacher:
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Specialism in English or related discipline.
  • Recent teaching experience in UK schools preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
