Music AssistantsSeptemberFullTime/PartTimeSupply/PermanentLong Term Teachers are looking for passionate Music Graduates and Assistants to support secondary schools in the Cheddar area , with roles expected from September. Whether your specialism is in multiple instruments, music technology or as a Teaching Assistant looking to gain some experience in the Music department - we are keen to connect with engaging individuals, with subject expertise and a commitment to supporting students and fostering a love for Music.We work closely with a number of secondary schools in the Cheddar area, who regularly need long-term cover and permanent teaching support within their Music departments. These roles may involve teaching KS3,4 and 5. Full time and part time roels may be available depending on the schools needs.Responsibilities:
  • Assist in teaching Music to Secondary students
  • Mark work, assess progress and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to a safe and focused learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Music department and wider staff.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Music or related field.
  • Experience teaching in secondary schools
  • Good classroom management and communication skills
  • Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
