Simon Acres Group are working with a well-established builders merchant, seeking a Plumbing and Heating Specialist to join their team at the Exeter branch on a full-time basis.This is a permanent position paying up to £32,000 + bonusHours of Work:Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 + Saturday, 08:00–12:00Key responsibilities:Supporting customers at the trade counter with expert product knowledge and delivering exceptional service, while driving sales and supporting internal operations.Provide customers with friendly, efficient service and expert product adviceDrive sales through effective follow-up, promotional selling, and quotationsWork closely with the Plumbing & Heating Manager to ensure consistency and best practiceMaximise margins through effective pricing and supplier negotiationProcess enquiries and quotes quickly and accurately (within 3 working days)Support external sales reps by handling internal needs and customer liaisonCarry out site surveys when needed to support customer requirementsEnsure all special orders are placed with preferred suppliers at best pricesIdeal Applicant:This role would suit someone with experience in a trade counter environment, ideally within plumbing and heating.
