HGV CLASS 2 DRIVERMONDAY - FRIDAY - 06:00 START TIMES£14.50 PER HOURPeople Solutions are recruiting Class 2 Drivers to make multiple deliveries for our well-established client based in Cheadle, Manchester.This role will become permanent for the right candidate after a successful twelve-week period.Benefits

Day to Day Duties
  • Drive a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Multi customer drops and movement of materials to fulfil customer/ inter-branch orders
  • Heavy lifting may be involved.
  • To enable safe and efficient receipt, movement and storage of goods via company vehicle and manifest provided
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure vehicle is well presented
  • Comply with driving rules and regulations
  • Be prepared for various shift lengths
  • To show courtesy and be helpful to customers/suppliers when collecting, delivering or returning materials to warehouse.
Essential Skills:
  • Hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence and have held this for a minimum of two years
  • Two years experience driving Category C vehicles
  • Hold a valid UK CPC Card
  • Hold a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  • No major endorsement codes
  • Positive 'Can Do' attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be reasonably physically fit as heavy lifting involved
  • Experience with straps and ratchets
  • Experience with chains
  • Experience with steel is desirable
Training
  • Drivers will be required to take a written assessment and driving assessment followed by a five-hour paid induction
  • Industry related training and ongoing support
