This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician to join a long-established, award-winning commercial dealership in the Portsmouth area. With over 90 years of trading history and a strong focus on investing in people, you'll be joining a business that values your development and rewards your hard work.The ideal candidate will have experience working as an HGV Technician in a fleet or commercial vehicle dealership, be mechanically minded, and have a strong understanding of regular HGV Maintenance and inspection.   • £40,000 Basic Salary
  • Uncapped Bonus - OTE £55,000+
  • Flexible shift options available: Day Shift: 07:00 - 16:00, Late Shift: 13:00 - 22:00
  • 42.5-hour working week with optional start/finish times

Duties of an HGV Technician with our Client:
  • Carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs to commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults efficiently
  • Provide technical support and advice to both colleagues and customers
  • Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards across the workshop
  • Complete all necessary documentation and job cards to manufacturer and brand standards
  • Keep up to date with vehicle technologies and attend training where required
  • Occasionally road-test vehicles post-repair to ensure high-quality output
What our client expects of their HGV Technicians:
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Experience working on HGVs, Trucks, Buses, or Plant Machinery
  • Great attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach
  • Confident using diagnostic equipment and interpreting fault codes
