Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £93 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeDo you have a passion for supporting young learners and helping them flourish academically while fostering a positive and well-structured classroom environment?GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Sheffield.In this role of Cover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity of learning when teachers are absent and provide support across a variety of subjects and classes.Responsibilities of a CS:
  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task during lessons.
  • Implementing the planned learning activities and maintaining classroom routines.
  • Supporting students with additional needs when required.
  • Maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should:
  • Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Be confident, organised, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
