- This is a full-time permanent Learning Support Assistant position at an outdoor education setting based in Worcestershire.
- This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about working with students aged 11–19, particularly those with complex needs related to Autism.
- You will be supporting a small group of students in a carefully designed, homely learning environment.
- The setting allows for a deeply nurturing, therapeutic, and flexible approach to education, one that begins with building trust and emotional connection.

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will: -
- Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
- Have experience supporting the personal and academic development of young people.
- Can confidently deliver small group sessions aligned with personalised academic and pastoral plans.
- Thrive in a setting where relationships come first, and emotional engagement is the key to unlocking learning.
- Communicates clearly and calmly, even in challenging or high-pressure situations.
- Wants to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners.
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
- Confidence in using a variety of behaviour management techniques, with a particular focus on resolution management and developmental reflection.
- An enthusiasm for outdoor learning, and a readiness to work outside traditional classroom settings in line with our therapeutic approach.
- A minimum of GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- A strong commitment to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
