Nursing Direct is seeking compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Paediatric Nurses to provide specialist care for children and young people with complex health needs in their own homes across North London.As a Paediatric Nurse, you will support children living with a range of complex conditions, including neurological disorders, spinal injuries, genetic or congenital conditions, acquired brain injuries, and long-term health needs. Working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams, you will help deliver high-quality, individualised care that promotes the child's safety, comfort, and well-being.What we are looking for:
  • NMC-registered Paediatric Nurse (RNC) or dual-qualified Registered Nurse
  • Experience providing care for children with complex medical needs in community or homecare settings
  • Competence in delivering clinical interventions such as tracheostomy care, ventilator support, gastrostomy feeding, and seizure management (as required)
  • A patient, empathetic, and professional approach with a commitment to family-centred care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to care planning
Key responsibilities:
  • Providing safe, effective clinical care in the home, including airway management, enteral feeding, medication administration, and monitoring
  • Supporting personal care needs while maintaining dignity and respect
  • Promoting the child's comfort, safety, and emotional well-being
  • Keeping accurate records and contributing to care reviews and risk assessments
  • Supporting the child's social, emotional, and developmental needs through compassionate, holistic care
  • Acting as an advocate for the child and their family
