As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will oversee and deliver engineering analysis, design, and documentation for various structures as bridges, tunnels, deep shafts, caverns, embankments and retaining walls for our high-profile infrastructure and energy projects. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage and deliver tasks effectively, balancing budget, quality, and timelines.Furthermore, on a day-to-day basis you will:
- Lead geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and tunnels, including complex soil-structure interactions.
- Design geotechnical structures for various stages of infrastructure projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating inputs across geotechnical, structural, and environmental disciplines.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
- Plan and interpret geotechnical site investigations, including laboratory testing and ground characterization.
- Prepare technical documentation such as designs, drawings, construction sequencing, and comprehensive reports.
- Guide digital and data-driven project delivery, integrating modern geotechnical software and parametric tools.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in geotechnical engineering

- A master's or higher degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering with 10 or more years of relevant experience as a designer in a consulting environment.
- Skills in planning and conducting geotechnical site investigations and lab testing programmes.
- Skilled in foundation, tunnel, and underground structure design, utilizing ground improvement and failure mode analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis tools (GeoStudio, Plaxis 2D/3D, FLAC 2D/3D), BIM/CAD platforms, and data management tools (HoleBASE, OpenGround).
- Good knowledge of parametric design (Python, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo).
- Solid understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering.
- Effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English (B2/C1) and ability to undertake short international trips.
