
Lead Digital Pharmacy Technician

- In conjunction with the Digital Pharmacy team, the postholder will facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation of digital systems across the Trust.
- Provide subject matter expert guidance related to the EPMA system.
- Implement the required medicine configurations and workflows within the EPMA system.
- Assist / provide support in the operational running and development of the EPMA Functionality.
- Be a primary contact for all pharmacy EPMA related issues across the Trust.
- NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Practice
- BTEC in Pharmacy Practice
- Registration with The General Pharmaceutical Council
- BTEC Professional Development Certificate in Dispensing Technician Checking or equivalent
- Health & Safety Levels 1 and 2 and COSHH risk assessment training
- Relevant IT qualification
- Quality Improvement training
- NVQ Assessor
- Appropriate leadership training
- Medicine Management Qualification
- Supervisory management (ILM)
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to move and handle weight up to 10kg
- If required should be able to work across site
- Exposure to unpleasant odours and emotional situations when working at ward level.
- Recent or relevant experience of working within a UK hospital pharmacy
- Experience in the supervision of other staff
- Experience of working in a technical support role and proven experience in the development and support of IT systems within a healthcare setting to include implementation / problem solving clinical IT skills
- Experience of working with complex IT systems
- Proficiency of analysing complex reports, particularly around financial and usage type data
- Experience of giving management presentations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Self-motivating
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, highly organised, and work to deadlines
- Ability to manage and implement change
- Highly skilled at using a wide variety of IT software
- Ability to recognise own limitations
- Good working knowledge of medicine optimisation
- Good knowledge of clinical use of medicines
- Evidence of extensive continuing professional development
- Ability to influence and negotiate with medical, nursing and pharmacy staff
