Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs?GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools in the Sheffield, S10 area. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, this role provides the opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them develop positive attitudes, self-regulation, and essential social skills.Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
  • Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
  • Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and self-regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide individualised support.
  • Encourage pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support pupils’ holistic development.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and observation skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to behaviour management.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
