🗓 Start Date: September 2025Cover People are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming secondary school in Tameside to find a full time, long term Pastoral Support in September!As a pastoral support within the school, you will focus on the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students. Your role will ensure that students feel safe, connected and supported both inside and outside the classroom.Your Responsibilities:
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students
- Provide tailor-made 1:1 and small group support intervention
- Liase with parents/carers about potentially sensitive topics including safeguard concerns
- Monitor student behaviour, attendance and punctuality
- Report directly to the Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo
- Liaise with external agencies – possibly including social workers & CAMHS
- Strong organisational and IT skills - SIMS/Arbor and CPOMS (desired)
- Experience working with young people in a pastoral, educational or youth work setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people, helping to effectively safeguard
