- BSc in Radiotherapy or DCR(T)- Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent.
- Must be registered with the HCPC
- Evidence of appropriate CPD activity
- Extensive practical radiotherapy experience on a range of equipment including experience as a band 6 radiographer or equivalent
- Demonstrate good theoretical knowledge of a range of treatment techniques, advanced techniques, IGRT and planning
- Demonstrate participation in the development and implementation of techniques and procedures
- Demonstrates a high level of communication skills including the ability to deal with anxious and demanding patients an carers
- Demonstrates and ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and an ability to motivate staff and build a team
- Demonstrate a high level of organisation with problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrate the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate good levels of coordination to ensure precise patient setup and treatment delivery
- Ability to lead a team
