As a Social Worker in our Family Support and Safeguarding Team , you will play a key role in supporting families, ensuring children's safety, and promoting positive long-term outcomes. Responsibilities Manage a reasonable caseload of no more than 20 children to ensure effective support. Work with children in need (CiN), child protection (CP), looked after children (LAC), and court proceedings . Conduct thorough assessments and create child-centred plans. Lead safeguarding enquiries and work in partnership with multi-agency professionals. Use a restorative approach to build positive relationships with families and empower them to make changes. Attend regular supervision sessions to develop your skills and receive guidance. Requirements A Degree in Social Work and Social Work England registration . At least two years of post-qualifying experience in children's services. Strong knowledge of child protection, court work, and relevant legislation (Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together 2018, etc.) . The ability to build positive working relationships with children, families, and partner agencies. Excellent communication and report-writing skills , with the ability to present evidence in court.
