About the roleAs a Quantity Surveyor you will be supporting other more senior members of the commercial team in delivering varied commercial duties as well as being responsible for procuring and managing our supply chain.This position can be situated out of either our Swindon or Exeter offices.What you'll be doingAdhering to the Company's GMCEs, BMS and other governanceOrders information and systematically checks dataCost Engineering & EstimatingMeasure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and proceduresMeasure & interpret specifications & drawingsBuild up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimatesTranslate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates PlanningReview weekly, monthly, section programmes of worksPlan commercial activities to meet requirements of section programmesWho we're looking forHolds a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experienceIdeally has experience of working within the Civil Engineering SectorPrevious Commercial Work experience (beneficial)Ideally working towards a professional membership from the RICS, ICES or CIOBAwareness of CESMM 4 (Civil Engineering Method of Measurement) - beneficialWhy work for usDay in, day out, our teams deliver some of the UK's most ambitious, exciting and meaningful projects; developing, building and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports national economies and strengthens communities.Why join us?As if contributing to and supporting work that makes life better for millions wasn't rewarding enough, we offer a full range of benefits too.
