NQ Regulatory Solicitor – LeedsAn excellent NQ Solicitor role has become available with a highly regarded national law firm looking to expand its Health & Care Regulatory team through the appointment of a Health & Social Care Solicitor. Based in Leeds with flexible hybrid working, this role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile cases at the cutting edge of health, social care and education law.This is an excellent opportunity for a NQ Solicitor with a passion for public law, Court of Protection, or safeguarding issues to join a collaborative, progressive and highly experienced legal team to accelerate their career.About the Role:You will be joining a leading Health & Social Care Regulatory team, advising a wide range of public and independent sector clients, including NHS bodies, local authorities, care providers, charities and educational institutions.The work is varied and intellectually stimulating, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. Areas of focus include:
  • Court of Protection litigation
  • Inquests and mental health law
  • Human rights and safeguarding
  • HSE/CQC inspections and enforcement
  • Education and children law
  • Public law challenges and statutory duties
  • Complaints, serious incidents and regulatory investigations
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing your own caseload of advisory and litigation matters
  • Advocacy at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and tribunals
  • Providing strategic legal advice on sensitive and complex public law issues
  • Liaising directly with clients and developing trusted relationships
  • Contributing to business development and client care initiatives
About You:You will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with:
  • Ideally NQ+ - all levels are considered
  • Previous experience or a genuine interest in health and social care law, education law, mental capacity, or public law
  • Excellent communication, drafting and client relationship skills
  • Confidence in advocacy or a willingness to develop these skills
  • A strong commitment to working in the public and third sectors
