
Fund Accountant (18 month fixed term contract)

- Prepare and manage the delivery of year end and interim financial statements for our UK Funds, which have various period end dates across the calendar year
- Collate information on stocks and global markets for daily Fair Value Pricing Group meetings
- Calculate key data points for our UK funds, including, but not limited to, distribution rates, yields, ongoing charges, and amortisation profiles
- Conduct detailed monthly reviews of our funds’ data, including income recorded, withholding taxes charged and outstanding debtor and creditor positions
- Prepare income forecasts for our UK Funds
- Complete annual tax returns
- Investigate exceptions in month end reconciliations for client reporting
- Assist in the system set-up of new funds and opening new custody accounts, working closely with various internal departments
- Provide ad hoc assistance on projects within the department
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge relating to UK Funds including changes to Baillie Gifford funds and wider industry updates
- Adhere to the Baillie Gifford Data Management/Security policies
- · Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA) or exam qualified
- Financial services industry accounting experience (Desirable)
