Are you an experienced welder with a passion for precision and quality? We invite you to join our skilled team at Clyde, where your expertise will contribute to the integrity and performance of our Submarines and Surface Vessels.The roleAs a Multi Coded Welder, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll join a multi-skilled team that support routine maintenance and emergent welding activities on systems and equipment on all Royal Navy Vessels.Key Responsibilities:
- Welding Excellence - Utilize your multi-coded welding skills in MMA, Flux Core, and TIG to deliver high-quality welds on pipework and structural components.
- Defect Identification - Apply your keen eye for detail to identify and rectify any defects in systems and manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
- Process Enhancement - Collaborate with the team to improve welding processes and techniques, driving efficiency and quality in every project.
- Safety Compliance - Maintain a strong commitment to Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work, ensuring a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Comfort in Diverse Environments - This role involves working in confined spaces and at heights. Candidates should be capable of performing tasks safely in these challenging conditions.
- Proven Welding Expertise - Extensive experience as a multi-coded welder, with proficiency in MMA, Flux Core, and TIG welding techniques.
- Pipework and Structural Knowledge - Strong background in both pipework and structural coding is essential.
- Testing Familiarity - Experience with welds that undergo non-destructive and destructive testing, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards.
- Regulatory Experience - Background in working within a highly regulated environment is highly valued.
- A recognised fabrication/welding Apprenticeship to at least N/SVQ Level 3.
