We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to join our management team on a permanent basis, providing leadership at band 6 to our team delivering quality care including rehabilitation and palliative care.This is real opportunity to further your career, driving forward change and developing the team to meet the changing demands of our patient group. Takes every reasonable opportunity to sustain and improve his/her knowledge and professional competence. To continue any development highlighted through the appraisal process and attend mandatory and specific training sessions.Plan and assess programmes of care with realistic nursing goals with the consultation of patient, family and multidisciplinary teamTo be sensitive to patients needs in respect of courtesy, dignity and privacy.Promote effective communication within the team.Provide information and education, which enables patients to make choices about adopting a healthier lifestyle ( appropriately, to meet patients needs).Recommend innovative changes in clinical practice to enhance patient care.Participate in audit processes and action outcomes.Demonstrate an understanding of research and application to clinical practiceUse clinical expertise and knowledge to promote a 'nurse led' approach to care.Ensure the safe control and custody of drugs within theward/department in line with Trust Policy and local Standard OperatingProcedures.Inform the Ward Manager of changes which may affectsafe and competent practice.Ensure that all patient care is documented accurately and legible andthat systems are maintained in a timely manner.Work collaboratively with outside agencies.About usPineheath Ward is a twenty four bed unit based at Kelling Hospital, Holt in Norfolk, which aims to deliver high quality safe and effective care to our complex patient group who are referred to us from across the region.We are a well-established and very supportive team.
