GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Eastbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children with special educational needs in a supportive and nurturing environment.About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant in this specialist setting, you'll work with pupils who have a range of additional needs including autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on helping each child achieve their potential.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with their individual learning programmes and personal care needs
  • Assist with behaviour management using positive approaches
  • Help create a calm and structured learning environment
  • Support pupils with life skills and independence
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals
Job Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth work settings)
  • Understanding of autism and other learning difficulties
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
