Job Title: Principal Engineer - Electrical Engineer (Power)Location: Barrow-In-Furness, Coventry or Filton. (Hybrid options are 1 day a week on site at Filton, 2 days a fortnight for Coventry and Barrow) Depending on business requirements.Salary: Up to £57,500 (Commensurate with skills and experience)What you’ll be doing:
  • Technical point of contact for other engineers and support with developing and mentoring other team members
  • Ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively in meeting project timelines and objectives
  • Overseeing the planning, execution and monitoring of engineering
  • Collaborating with multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the compatibility test facility
  • Preparing technical reports, progress reports, and presentations, communicating results and advising recommendations
Your skills and experiences:Essential:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering
  • Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions
  • Knowledge of compatibility testing of electrical equipment and power electronics
Desirable:
  • Project Management experience would be advantageous
  • Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership

You'll be part of a wider multidisciplinary electrical team who's responsible for delivery a high integrity electrical power system. You will have the opportunity to attend the test site in Leicester.
