  • To deliver the highest standards of customer service whilst providing an efficient, professional mail service to our clients and on-site Contractors which involves This involves X-Raying, organising, sorting, and logging of all incoming/outgoing mails and deliveries to the required standard established by the Service Level Agreement.
  • The delivery, collection and sorting of goods and mail within service level agreements
  • Providing investigations and reports which are compiled in a timely manner and to a consistent standard
  • Supporting the Security Manager: Security with investigations as may be required from time to time where the process or outcome may be particularly sensitive or have serious implications for the security of the building
  • Draw to the attention of the Security Manager or in his absence the Security Coordinator issues, incidents and exceptional matters as appropriate
  • To ensure all Recorded, Special Delivery and courier items are delivered, and appropriate signatures received
  • Assisting and support Loading Bay duties
  • To provide additional delivery or collection services within the building as directed
  • To use the radio system in a professional manner and always maintain appropriate etiquette
  • Demonstrating pride & professionalism in all facets of customer service. To take ownership of all work
  • Always Communicating with clients professionally, by understanding their needs, promoting our service
  • Supporting the Client to introduce service enhancements & developments.
  • Maintaining a safe working process related to Health & Safety
  • Undertaking any reasonable ad hoc duties as requested by the Post Room
  • Manage and report any maintenance issues immediately including equipment that is faulty or any risks or hazards identified.
  • To ensure you wear all personal protective equipment and uniform provided
  • To take part and effectively engage in employee training and having a full understanding of Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Site Specifics Procedures.
  • To deal with any complaints / issues from customers immediately and report directly to the Site Security Manager.
  • To assist with the lifting and movement of furniture within a team
  • To always work with awareness of surroundings
  • To complete any paperwork pertinent to the area of work
  • To prepare a monthly deliveries statistics summary for the Security Manager and Client
Requirements as a Post Room Operative
  • Mailroom experience
  • Excellent time management skills and have a methodical approach
  • Excellent Communications skills
  • Good eye for detail
  • Xray machine trained
  • A customer focused approach, exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude
  • Ability to work on own initiative and have a good work ethic
