
Head of Accounting

- Responsible for running the month end close process, including overseeing all general ledger operations, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Work closely with the Head of Group Reporting to ensure seamless integration between local GAAP and IFRS reporting
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Analyse monthly numbers to ensure accuracy and to provide insight to support decision-making across the Group
- Support the external audit process by providing relevant accounting information and explanations where necessary and improve the financial internal control framework
- Oversee cost centre management and ensure integrity of the finance data structure, along with providing guidance on cost allocation methodologies
- Oversee consolidated group cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis
- Lead a small team of accounts payable, ensuring a control environment and good payment practices
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting professionals
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), who has a solid technical grounding in IFRS and significant experience in group finance, accounting leadership, or financial reporting
- Well-versed in systems, with direct experience using Unit4 or a comparable ERP, and a keen interest in evolving finance system architecture
