An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated, flexible and dynamic Theatre Orderly to work within Cardiothoracic Theatres. Cardiothoracic Theatres comprises of 5 operating theatres that undertake all aspects of adult and paediatric Cardiothoracic surgery. The post holder will carry out all orderly duties and assist the Department Co-ordinator in the provision of Orderly services to the Freeman Cardiothoracic Theatres.

  • The post holder will be responsible for the safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatres.
  • Collect and deliver blood and specimen samples.
  • Collect and deliver equipment to many departments.
  • Cleaning and care of patient trolleys.
  • Checking and stocking of theatre facilities and to assist the theatre personnel as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the department .
