
Employment Tribunal Advocate

o Multi-day discrimination, whistleblowing and detriment cases
o Unfair dismissal and wages cases
o Contentious preliminary hearings (jurisdiction, disability, applications etc.)
o To a lesser extent, case management preliminary hearings
- Employment law advice to a wide range of clients, including unfair dismissal, disciplinary, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination, detriment claims and equal pay
- Assist with the supervision and management members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate
- Draft and prepare documents, tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements and reports
- Draft articles and legal updates
- Assist with business development initiatives including training and networking
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc client MI reports
- Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs
- Work in accordance with Weightmans' values and procedures
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
We also require you to have/be:
- 3 + YR Qualified Solicitor
- Experience of employment tribunal advocacy (including multi-day hearings)
- Good team work skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong technical knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Time management and organisation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets
