Commercial Finance Business PartnerYork | Hybrid Working Options AvailableSalary: up to £57,000 (DOE) + BenefitsWe're partnering with a successful, multisite food business who are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their team. This is a key role offering plenty of variety, from analysing sales to customer profitability and driving commercial decisions and strategy.About the RoleReporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a true business partner role where you'll be working closely with the Commercial Director and sales team to provide financial insights and guidance.Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Analysing sales data and performance, identifying trends, opportunities for growth, and improved profitability.
  • Providing sound financial advice to support pricing strategies, ensuring the commercial teams can maintain margins and be fully aware of wider market conditions.
  • Working with the wider finance team to support forecasting, budgeting and S&OP processes.
  • Leading on financial reporting and presenting at commercial meetings.
  • Being the 'go to' person for commercial queries, providing advice and guidance on anything from payment terms through to key commercial decisions.
  • Proactively looking for new and improved ways of working and cost-saving opportunities.
About YouThis is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives in a commercial, sales-focused environment and using data to shape business decisions. A background in food would be ideal, but we're keen to hear from anybody with the following:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience of working in a business partnering role, ideally in a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, able to break down complex data into easy to understand formats.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work closely with, and influence, finance and non-financial colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proactive approach, able to identify trends and identify areas for improvement.
