pursue what mattersAramark UK are currently recruiting for a Bar & General Service Assistant in their Defence sector to be a part of our integral team at Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park, GU16 7HB with occasional need to support at RMA Sandhurst, GU15 4PQ.As a Bar & General Service Assistant, you will mainly be working front-of-house. You will support day-to-day operations by serving food and beverages to our customers, alongside till work, cleaning dining areas and supporting both front and back of house areas.   • This is a Zero-hours position. The working pattern is mainly Sunday to Thursday, but requires flexibility over a variety of 5 days out of 7 (on average 2 weekends per month), . Shift times are mainly 18:00 – 23:00, but there are variable shift patterns between 06:00 and 23:00.
  • The hourly rate is £12.21.

A day in the life of a Bar & General Service Assistant:
  • You will be serving food and beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic) to customers, ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to and excellent customer service is always provided.
  • Basic cold food preparation and barista duties.
  • Stocking up, stock rotation, facing up, spot cleaning, washing up, cleaning dining and serving areas, both front and back of house.
  • Operating the till and processing cash and card payments, ensuring you process any financial records accordingly. You will also be serving on the food counters and upselling products/sizes.
You will be set up for success if you have:
  • Previous customer facing / food service experience is desirable, however full training will be given on site.
  • For this role you must be 18+.
  • Food hygiene certificate level 2 and Health & Safety level 2 – relevant training will be provided through e-learning.
  • Good level of spoken English.
  • Must have eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role
  • Must have reliable transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.
